For the second time in two weeks, Governor Kasich dodged the question of where he stands on right-to-work yesterday saying, “It’s fair for you to ask. It’s also fair for me to say I don’t live in the future.” In late January, the Governor stated that right-to-work was “not on my agenda.” It’s clear that the Governor has not changed his anti-union philosophy on right-to-work.
Today, it was revealed in The Cincinnati Enquirer that despite promises made months ago, the Attorney General has failed to reduce access or make other security enhancements to his facial recognition software, which allows government officials to compare photos of Ohioans to a database of all Ohio driver’s license photos.

State attorney general candidate David Pepper said on Monday he would make advocating for voter rights a priority if elected this fall and criticized incumbent Mike DeWine for his record on election law issues.
Pepper, a Cincinnati Democrat, said DeWine, a Greene County Republican, has repeatedly defended state-passed election laws that were found unconstitutional or blocked by the courts, including those addressing early voting hours, provisional ballot handling and third-party ballot access.
Yesterday was a great day for the voters of the state of Ohio and a bad day for my opponent. We all found out that the occurrence of voter fraud was less common than some would lead us to believe.
