Ohio stuck with gerrymandered congressional districts
July 1, 2019

Ohio can’t draw new congressional map until 2022 after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled federal courts shouldn’t play a role in fixing partisan gerrymandering. Gerrymandering will now be in the hands – and fate – of the Ohio Supreme Court. Right now, the Ohio Supreme Court is made of five Republicans and two Democrats. As elections do have consequences, we need to be ready for the 2020 election cycle when two Republican justices terms are up for election.
