The Kasich administration, the Kasich campaign, and Lt. Governor Mary Taylor were all caught in 3 separate lies on Friday afternoon. In case you missed it, here are their attempts to mislead Ohioans on the economy, fracking, and healthcare.
Yesterday, Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted was scheduled to certify the results of the May primary. According to the unofficial results from the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office, the turnout in primary was below 17%, well below any other gubernatorial primary since at least 1986, according to the Secretary of State’s website. In response, Ohio Democratic Party Deputy Communications Director Brian Hester issued the following statement:
Democratic gubernatorial nominee Ed FitzGerald released the following statement on the announcement from the Governor’s office that Kasich intends to sign SB 310 into law, which will make Kasich the first Governor in the nation to freeze renewable energy and efficiency standards.
Today, Governor Kasich relaunched the OhioMeansJobs website (after previous launches were critiqued for sending Ohio job seekers to out-of-state job listings). What the Governor failed to mention at the announcement was that, this week alone, his tax schemes have been criticized for failing to free up funds for job creation and causing many business owners to pay additional taxes.
