Today, Governor Kasich and Attorney General Mike DeWine spoke at a heroin summit at Worthington Kilbourne High School outside of Columbus. Both Kasich and DeWine have been critiqued by health officials, editorial boards, and law enforcement for their delayed, anemic response to Ohio’s heroin crisis.
Today Governor Kasich’s team will release his latest campaign finance report, and they will point to the contributions as a sign of support for the Governor’s reelection.
Today, the John Patrick Carney campaign for Ohio Auditor of State announced that it pulled in more than $328,000 since January 31, bringing the campaign total to nearly $1 million to elect John Patrick Carney. The campaign also reports it has more than $736,000 cash on hand. In response, campaign manager Brendan Kelley released the following statement:

Friends of Connie Pillich today released its Pre-Primary Campaign Finance Report, adding over a half-million dollars for a total of 1.49 million in less than a year.
