Ted Strickland sent a letter today to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Andy Slavitt detailing concerns he has with proposed changes to Ohio’s Medicaid program that could result in prohibitive costs and loss of coverage to Ohio Medicaid recipients. COLUMBUS — Gov. John Kasich continues to campaign around the country claiming to be a “moderate” and “compassionate” Republican, at the same time that his administration moves to implement a plan that will kick hundreds of thousands of Ohioans off of their current health coverage.
Today, the Healthy Ohioans Work coalition, a group working to expand Medicaid coverage for nearly 300,000 Ohioans announced the filing of an initiated statute to the Ohio Attorney General to begin the initiative petition process.
