Last night, NBC 4 in Columbus did a fact check of the new Republican Governors Association advertisement for John Kasich. They found the opening claim to be “not true” and poked holes in RGA’s claim that Governor Kaisch hasn’t raised taxes. The video is available HERE.

When Cuyahoga County Executive and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ed FitzGerald pointed out last week that a House Republican plan funded new programs to combat the heroin crisis by cutting millions from mental health services, the Kasich administration stood by the plan and attacked FitzGerald for his criticism.

FitzGerald Statement on SB 310
Democratic gubernatorial candidate and Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald released a statement on the Senate’s late-night vote to pass SB 310. If Governor Kasich signs the bill into law, he will be “the first governor to turn his back both on renewable energy and energy efficiency standards. About two dozen states have such standards.”
